About Us

Guiding Philosophy of Embodied Wellness

At Embodied Wellness, our team of trusted therapists specializes in trauma, OCD, anxiety, and depression. We focus on these areas so you can access effective, research-informed therapy that supports deep and lasting healing.

We believe transformation happens through connection, curiosity, and safety. Because of this, we approach therapy differently.

In every session, we work from the belief that:

  • Tough love and shame do not create healing. Instead, they often keep people stuck.
  • Real change needs to be felt in the body, not just understood in the mind.
  • Curiosity helps calm the nervous system and creates space for growth.
  • Healing is personal. No single approach works for everyone.

our mission & vision

We believe in hope and the possibility that all people can heal.

Our mission is to empower trauma survivors through somatic and holistic therapy approaches that support the mind and body together.

We envision a world where people can (re)claim their sense of wholeness, connection, and vitality. We strive to contribute to the field of trauma healing by helping survivors recognize their natural capacity for resilience and transformation.

Meet the Founder

Incorporating the Body in Counseling

Hi, I’m Sarah Rollins, founder of Embodied Wellness. I felt drawn to this work because I have a deeply personal relationship with understanding how people struggle even when they’re trying so hard not to.

Early in my career, I became curious about why traditional talk therapy did not always create lasting change. Many people understood their patterns intellectually. However, they still felt anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck.

That curiosity eventually led me to Somatic Experiencing. Once I discovered it, I began to understand how deeply the nervous system shapes healing, relationships, emotions, and everyday life.

When I built Embodied Wellness, I knew I wanted a team of therapists who truly understood the nervous system and trauma responses. Today, I feel honored to work alongside therapists who deeply “get it.” Although each clinician uses different modalities and approaches, we share the same commitment to compassionate, body-aware care.

Common Challenges with In-Person Therapy in Farmington and Online Counseling in Michigan

  • Being placed on a waitlist for 6–12 months
  • Having a negative experience with a therapist
  • Not understanding the billing process
  • Reaching out and never hearing back
  • Completing an intake only to learn the therapist has no future openings

Our Goal is to Minimize These Frustrations

  • Immediate openings. We typically have availability right away. If a waitlist exists, we check daily and contact you the moment a spot opens.
  • You choose your therapist. We have therapists with a range of specialties, skills, and personalities. You can switch anytime if it’s not the right fit.
  • Billing clarity upfront. Our biller sends you an estimate of your appointment costs, and we’ve prepared questions to ask your insurance so you know what to expect before your first appointment.
  • Real people respond. When you contact us, a live person will get back to you within 24–48 hours. No AI!
  • No bait-and-switch scheduling. We only book you with a therapist who has ongoing weekly availability.
  • You’re not just a chart. We genuinely want to hear your concerns, and you can contact us at any time.
