EMDR and Trauma Therapist

Brandy Lobato, LMSW

You're stuck in an endless loop of anxious thoughts—spinning, repeating, never quiet. You tell yourself they aren’t true, but no matter how hard you try, they won’t stop. It’s exhausting. You feel powerless like life is happening around you while you're stuck on the sidelines watching.

You’ve been through hard times before, and you’ve made it through. So why does it feel so difficult now, when others seem to manage just fine?

You’re not weak. You’re not broken. And you don’t have to do this alone. There is a way forward, and together, we can find it.

If this sounds familiar, know that you're not alone—there’s hope. Anxiety and trauma doesn’t have to control your life, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. We understand that taking the first step can feel daunting, which is why when you reach out, you’ll be met with warmth, understanding, and expertise. I use evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, to help you break free from racing thoughts, shift emotional responses, and heal from past experiences. You deserve to feel at peace. Together, we’ll create a path toward healing, clarity, and a life that feels like yours again.

Therapy Modalities:

Who is your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who has been through some hard times in their life, but they haven't given up. They know that there is something better out there for them, and they are open to letting new experiences come into their life. They want something better than what they currently have, and they're willing to do the work. They are looking for a partner in their mental health care. They know that by investing time and energy now, they will have a better life down the road.

What’s something you wish people knew about therapy or the therapy process?

It takes time to change. Give yourself grace and count the small victories along the way!

Why do you like being a therapist?

I like being a therapist because of the feeling of joy that I get whenever a patient has made a change for the better in their life. There is no better feeling!

Besides being a therapist, what do you enjoy in your spare time?

Hiking, yoga, gardening, being outdoors and in nature, and being with my family and friends.

What is your favorite book, podcast, or mental health resource?

My favorite mental health book is The Road Less Traveled by Scott Peck. It holds up, even today.
